The internship program at Oasis of Hope house is an opportunity for students and young adults (women only) to acquire supervised practical ministry experience in the field of aftercare for survivors of human trafficking. This live-in program has a minimum of 3 month commitment where room and board is fully covered. If you are not interested in a live-in internship we can discuss live-out options.
Teacher or Home School Assistant
Our teach or home school assistant would work mainly days and supervise our academic program for up to 7 teens ranging in age from 12 to 18. Each teen would be working toward completion of their High School diplomas using the curriculum, which best fits their needs and academic level.
Live-in or Shift Care Staff
Care staff would provide support for the survivors in the home, which would include daily routine, meals, transportation, special activities, and more. Care staff require a one year commitment minimum. A high school diploma is required. Additional experience and education is encouraged.
Oasis of Hope is in need of female interns, volunteers, live-in/shift care
staff and teachers that are 20 years old or older.
Some of these positions include free room and board.
Oasis of Hope is a faith based, state licensed, group home for girls between the ages of 12 – 18 who have been rescued from the American sex trafficking industry.
This may be the perfect internship experience for someone seeking their degree in Social Work, Human Services, or Psychology.
All positions require:
PA background checks (PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting) required for all positions and volunteers and must be obtained upon hire. Background checks must be completed every two years while employed or volunteering at Oasis of Hope Ministries. Additional training will be provided as required by individual’s position or status.
